anyone got this prob, three months ago i orderd a dongle (£15) from g3, from the first day it was never up to scratch, getting online was realy difficult, sometimes no connection for two three days, when i do get conected i have a download speed of below 500 kbps, i told 3g about this by phone and was told rather rudely this was tough and i must see out my 18 month contract, i wrote to them and said i had no intention of doing this (no reply), if i stop my d/d what would happen then, has anyone any ideas on this, to me it seems a ripoff.

If you stop your direct debit you will eventually find the bailiffs knocking on your door seeking money. 3 will simply apply for a court order to recover their money. First of all have you checked that you have full broadband coverage via 3G where you live? If you do you may have a case.

thanks greysts, according to 3g,s graph i`m in a turbo area, i ran two more speed tests and i`m still below 500 kbps, they will not answer my mail and dont seem to want to disscuss the problem over the phone, i had thought that by stopping my d/d they would at least get in touch with me, no luck. anyone else have any ideas, alan p.s am i right in assuming that 500kbps is very poor ??

500kb is a reasonable speed for what is, in effect, a mobile phone. It's at least 10 times faster than a normal dial-up connection. The absolute maximum is quoted as 2.8mb but in reality it's more likely to be around 2.2mb. If you are looking for the sort of broadband speeds that you get from a landline or cable then a mobile bb modem is not the way to get it.

DO NOT!!! Stop your d/d payments.I did.I cancelled them on my bank on line.I got sent a letter to pay up.10 weeks down the line I had a letter of a debt collection agency! If you do not pay them you will be taken to court, and be listed as a bad debtor. My contract is up in 3 months. They can then kiss my A**S!
