Battery life
      #389990 - Mon Mar 31 2008 05:07 PM

I just bought a new laptop with vista basic on it, which is great but the battery life is terrible and i have already looked for battery savers but they only apply to vista premium and i don't want to pay for an upgrade. Any ideas?

reducing the brightness of the screen could increase the battery life plus don't connect anything to the USB ports you are not using

To darken the screen
hold down Fn key you are looking for two buttons they have a circle on like a young child would draw a picture of the sun they may be on the F5 & F6 keys (depending on make of laptop) press the filled in one to darken the screen the other will brighten it unless screen is already at max.
