Losing your mobile phone can be a disaster. All of your Mobile contacts could be lost.
Many phones come with software to back up your contacts, but now it can be done via a brilliant free website called www.mobyko.com
Syncing your phone is easy. Just tell them the make of your phone and you get tailored instructions giving you a easy step by step guide. They use WAP to transfer your phone contacts to the website.
You can even set up a reminder email to sync any new contacts you may have added recently so you are always fully backed up remotely.
Transferring the contacts to a new phone is easy too.
But need help and they have an instant online help chat system.

dangermouse75 , I'm not wishing to put a spanner in the works , but as a non-mobile user I'm left wondering about the security aspect of this , especially as the user is going to provide personal details of others , presumably without their permission.

I accept your note of caution and I took a look round the web before uploading my details, but 2 respectable sources gave it the thumbs up which reassured me:

It's a tricky subject isn't it? We are given many more personal pieces of information of our friends online these days through emails, Facebook questionnaires, complete backups of our My Documents.
Our friends can post photos of us and tag us on Facebook, often without asking or post photos to public websites.
If you have a wide circle of friends and business associates, your home telephone number can be stored on scores of mobile devices.
I can definitely see your point, but it seems to be the way the world is going.

Looks good to me. My husband is now self-employed and has a lot of work-related contacts on his mobile as well as family and friends, so I'll be pointing him in the direction of this website. He can decide for himself whether or not to use it!
