Advice on buying new pc
      #389524 - Wed Mar 26 2008 07:09 PM

I am just thinking of buying a new pc and am tempted to buy the Dell XPS 420..... Over the years I have learnt to change drives and PSU etc , and know basically where things are if I need to repair or fit new. Can someone tell me how Dell is different? and would I be able to install new psu an drives the same. Any advice would be appreciated

I’m not up-to-date with the innards of a Dell but the PSUs certainly used to be ‘non-standard’.

If you’ve changed drives, etc. in the past, why not just change the motherboard, CPU and RAM on the old machine to bring it up to date?
