I posted some photos onto ancestry, using firefox. All was well until I clicked "something". The photos are there but I cannot see them; just a blank box. Ancestry say they can see them and they can be seen on Internet Explorer. I have been unable to resolve this problem. Can you assist ?

Can you explain that a bit more please. Do you mean you have created a family tree through Ancestry and are accessing it through Firefox?

Do you know that we're all in line for succession to the throne? Really?
Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.

Sorry, should have made it clear. I use Firefox as a browser to access Ancestry.co.uk. Through them I build a family tree and add photos. I had the photos in view until I clicked "something". The photos are visible on Internet explorer so I presume it is a Firefox problem. Have tried what I know and also uninstalled firefox and reinstalled but the problem remains. I begin to despair.

I assume the photos were in JPEG format. Is only these JPEGs you can't see in Firefox or is it the same on any site?

Yes, J PEGS. The photos are there and are visible when using Internet explorer but not when using Firefox ( just blank boxes with titles below ). No other viewing problems at all.

Have you tried uploading one of the pictures again through Firefox?

Try running Firefox in Safe Mode (Start, Programs, Mozilla Firefox, Firefox Safe Mode) to see if it's one of your Firefox add-ons that's causing the problem.

The only thing I'm left with is the possibility that the Ancestry site is not compatible with Firefox. You could try your query on the Firefox forum here.
