I have a 7 year old window's XP, I run AVG anti-spyware and use microsoft firewall, up until a couple of day's ago, I started to experience a very slow computer, it only runs slow whilst surfing the net, it takes upto 20 minutes to view a single page sometimes I'm not even able to view it!, its taken 20 minutes to get even to this page, I've run 3 anti-virus scan's, one of which is the microsoft onecare, all of which come up clean and without no problem, I've defragmented, and done the c-cleaner, "I'm able to get emails and view the computer pages without no problems", could it be a ISP problem?, I'd be very grateful for any help or advise no matter how small.
Thankyou minniemouse

As it only happens when you're online it sounds more likely to be your internet connection. Have you tried a speedtest? Try this one although it might take a while to load as it use a lot of fancy graphics.

Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.

Thankyou as always for your responce, I checked the isp speed, and to be honest I'm none of the wiser to the result, I was'nt able to locate to ISP, without sounding total illiterate I'm not even sure what the speeds meant to be, I've posted a log, just incase there's a hidded nasty somewhere, although like you I'm inclined to think its a broadband problem, as I said, the computer is working fine running well otherwise, I'm even getting mail as I should... I may ring them Monday.
Thankyou as alway's minnimouse
