Corel X and a missing File.
      #388269 - Fri Mar 14 2008 03:44 PM

Hi and good afternoon. I have an Acer laptop windows XP. I enjoy using PSPro 7 and Corel X. during last few days when saving a gif, tag etc; I save as: in the required format. To check whether sig: etc can be seen and saved by family, friends in an e-mail I send finished sig: to my own e-mail address and all has worked ok. Now when I try to save sig; box comes up stating system cannot find the file specified. As a last resort I decided to re-install Corel X again on laptop. 3/4 of the way on installing files message came onto screen saying (Error 1334 corepython 24.dl cannot be re~installed, file cannot be found in cabinet file. Conten~1cab) so my question is can above file be re-installed please? I really do not want to un-install both progams if this can be avoided. I have quite a few Plugins that took me ages to install plus brushes, picture tubes etc: Both Jasc and Corel discs I have purchased from new. Hoping someone can give me some information on this problem.
Thank you.
Isa.

Try a System Restore to a time before you were having problems.

Might help you.

Hello there Fusion, thank you for replying, I did a system restore peviously to my question above. Can you or any one tell me if I try running my Corel X disc again would it do any harm please? I just wondered the corepython 24. dl which is missing would be on the disc!
Thank you for your help.
Isa.

Try going to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > Scroll to Corel Paint Shop Pro X > Change > Under Program Maintenance select 'Repair installation errors in program . . . '

You may need your disc if it is asked for.
