TV/PC MONITOR

Hi
I have a desktop computer and a friend recently gave me as a gift a Goodmans LD2650HD TV. I'd like to connect it to my pc so i can watch TV and use it as a computer monitor. the thing is I dont know what cable to buy to make this happen.
Any ideas? Went to PC World and they sold me a Belkin High Integrity SVGA Monitor replacement cable and it does not work. Ibelieve it's because I dont have a power cable that connects the pc to the monitor.
Does anyone know what cable i need?

This TV only has the following connections;

3 x scart , S-Video , DVI-D , Headphone Jack

Can you confirm this?

If so, then you will need to purchase one of these

Or one of these

That DVI to VGA Monitor Cables is the one PC world sold me and it doesnt work - have tried connecting laptop to TV and it works but i need to connect my desktop pc.

not sure about the connections, i know it has a scart and a PC Input - will check when i get home

PC Input, is it blue? If so this represents a VGA connection, therefore a normal VGA cable will suffice
