I saw the advert and reckon that piece of kit would be at least £800 in PCWorld. If you've got the money I wouldn't hesitate. Remember that the ALDI specials go very fast indeed. You'll need to be queueing at least 45 minutes before the store opens and they don't take credit cards.

Funny enough after greyst pointed out a laptop on one of my posts at Aldi, we had a leaflet come through. Nice spec but remember it has no monitor included. However I still was fairly tempted, but I think they are a strictly cash, cheque or cash card and will not take credit cards - true?

True, but that, of course, is how they keep their prices low.

They are not likely to be on a shelf in the store or even on display because they may be knocked over in the rush. They are more likely to be in the storeroom and only brought out when a purchase has been made so it may be better to go straight to the checkout. Which checkout ? Payment methods ? Pick the brains of the manager before the PC goes on sale.

You can use debit cards not credit cards I went to a site to configure a similar spec pc and if the site is right then either the PC has 1Gb RAM it cannot use or it has the 64bit windows vista. I had to use 4Gb RAM as the site options were 1,2, or 4 when choosing 4 then going to the price you are instructed that 32 bit windows can only use 2Gb RAM.

My local Aldi Had a Medion Computer in the storeroom unsold from a Previous Promotion and Yes I asked a staff member as they Double up both as shelf filler and Checkout operators..and they sometimes take a few quid off when they are left for a few weeks.. So Do ask, even if you see nothing on display. You might get a surprise Goes for almost anything else in Non food goods too and do visit any handy local branches I have 3 within a 5 Mile radius NOTE Lidl is also a good place to find them too and occasionally Netto

Lidl doing a Targa 19 inch LCD Wide Screen Monitor this week £119.99, as well as speakers and wireless keyboard set as seperate items. Also a deal on Agfa glossy photo paper - A4 50 sheets at 3.99, not sure if that is a good deal against others, but seemed good.
