i have posted the exact same question this week. Not sure the advice offered to you has worked, but i looked on the site offered and it doesnt help me as most of my songs are cd's that i have borrowed from friends or were my cd's but i sold on recently at a car boot sale...foolishly thinking that i had them on itunes so it wasnt a problem! the only way i can think of is to download them onto an external drive and then move them across. My pc crashed the other month so pc world backed up all my photos/songs etc so i have 5 dvds with them all on. I am now going to load them all on which could take some time but it is a way around for me...good luck with a solution. My post is under NEPXH04

The problem is you have CDs 'your borrowed' from friend or CDs you 'sold at a carboot'. No disrespect but in both instances that is a breach of UK copyright law.

The music industry turns a blind eye to the fact that you buy a CD, burn it onto your PC and IPod, but to then sell the CD on means you have no further 'right' to play the music. Similarly borrowing and copying a CD is a breach of the law.

It really would be against this forum's rules surely to advise someone how to breach copyright any further?

FR, you're right. Time to close this down, methinks.
