Problems with Bios Update Asus CUSL2-C
      #386878 - Mon Mar 03 2008 10:05 PM

Hi

I've got an Asus CUSL2-C motherboard using Windows XP Pro service pack 2 and a Pentium III.

The pc is running slow, I know it's a bit old now but I've tidied up the hard drive and put its maximum 512MB RAM in. Not very powerful nowadays! Anyway, a bios update did wonders for my laptop so I checked the versions out and I'm way behind with this one.

The only thing is the 'aflash' program that you download from Asus only works in Dos according to the document that comes down with it. You have to make a bootable floppy with it but I just can't get it to work. The other thing is I know if your bios update goes wrong you can ruin the motherboard. I can't even back up my current bios.

Does anyone know how to do this? I'm terrible with dos.

Dave
