Hi,
I posted the following on The General PC-Related but received no replies, any help would be appreciated.
I have an Dell XPS T600R which I've owned since 2000, initially Win '98 was installed, this was updated with Win ME some years ago, the machine is currently used as a base unit for my wireless router/broadband modem, my main source of Internet access is via my laptop.
The reason for the post is I've started receiving an "Error Starting Progam" message as follow:
"The COMDLG32.DLL file is linked to missing export SHLWAPI.DLL:SHRRegGetValueW."
I couldn't fix the problem after many hours of searching, eventually tried installing Win XP but received the following message "The File C:\Windows \WINNT32\WINNT32A.DLL could not be loaded or is corrupt"
I no longer have an ME discs only the original Win98 discs which were supplied with the PC. I am able to access certain areas on the PC, Internet access is possible via IE but not Mozzila, error message appears when majority of programs accessed.
Any assistance would be appreciated, I am no expert but would like to fix this problem as easily as possible.
Regards!

The way to correct the error is to run the System File Checker (SFC) but to do so you will need to borrow a WinME CD.
