Ever since I started using the net, whenever I read a post where someone had given a link to another site, if I thought it might interest me, I would clic on it. Many people have said this is not a good idea.
So now, I use another route. If that link interests me, I copy it and put it in google, where the McAfee Site Advisor clears it for any hidden bugs etc. If there is a green tick, I will proceed, if not, I stay away.
Would this be what you would recommend, after all, after 5 or so yrs, I'm still learning.

If you've got McAfee Site Advisor running on your PC then it will check the link when you click on it first time round. You don't need to copy it into Google.

Do you know that we're all in line for succession to the throne? Really?
Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.

To add further, always have the Status Bar showing at the bottom of the screen to reveal the 'actual' address of the link that it will direct you to.
