Morning all,
I have a sony vaio laptop with in built wireless, sky broadband with wireless router...have not changed my setup or done anything different (had system for about 4 months), however on coming home last night, i cannot access the internet via wireless, wireless is turned on, i have reinstalled drivers, software etc, all to no avail! i can see my sky box, and others in the street (and if i plug the lan cable in there is no problem) however it will not let me connect...the message says "the settings on this computer for the network do not match the requirements for this network" and there is a red 'x' on the where the wireless signal stength should be!!!! i have discussed this with sky and they say its a sony laptop problem, sony say nothing appears to be wrong, i have used the laptop diagnostics software and all appears to be fine......this is really frustrating me now...........anyone have a clue what i need to do?????

I'm not Vista versed (jumped to Linux before it came out), but this fellow appears to have had a bit of luck with the same problem. He done it by resetting the router/livebox then removing and resetting the connection on the laptop. Someone might be able to give you more though
