a) you may not like Firefox b) IE is very closely integrated into Windows OS, not easy to remove safely. c) IE is needed to get you Windows updates/patches ( I know other browsers can work around that, but IE is the safest way.)

Internet Explorer can NOT be removed at all. It is an integral part of Windows. You don't have to use it but you can't delete it.
