Hi
Can some one please help.
A friend has the above laptop but is unable to write to a disc.
When I check it under component there is a yellow exclamation mark against it and it says that the driver is corrupt or missing with code 39 after the message.
Tried to update the drivers but it comes back saying the latest one is already downloaded.
Would i be able to delete the driver and reinstall it from whatever is on the laptop or online.
Have tried to look online for any drivers but am not sure that what i found is the right ones
Any help appreciated
Thanks

Go back into the device manager (control panel, system, hardware, device manager), right click the offending device then hit uninstall. After it uninstalls the driver reboot the computer. With a bit of luck, Windows will re-install the driver itself when the computer is rebooted.

Was able to uninstall, but when I rebooted the laptop it failed to install the drivers.
