I have been trying unsuccessfully to post an avatar. I have resized the jpg down to 80x80 70x70 and 60x60 pixels and yet each time I get an error message saying that it is too large. Please can someone help out? Many thanks in advance.

Is the image on your PC or online?

it's on my PC. I got it off the web as an animated gif and edited it and saved it as a jpeg.

Host the image with ImageShack and then paste the link into your signature from there, it's quicker than sending it from your PC to the site.

I've sorted it for you, but if you click on USER OPTIONS and then click on edit at the side of Personal information, email, password, etc., then scroll to the bottom where you can change your avatar to either a stock one, or your own personal one.

Thank you very, very much! I know it was only a small problem but it's good to keep on learning. Thanks again.

It's nice to see a thank you, however it's simple advice and what we're here for, but I'm glad you've learnt something too!
I will lock this thread as the query is resolved.
