printer wont show status

hi there
running virgin broadband,windows xp home,internet explorer7,connected printer epson c64.
recently had pc overhauled everything seems to be ok except when printing i cannot get display of ink amount left in cartridges.
help if you can please.

Before trying Caroline's 3rd party software, download and install from Epson the . . . . >> EPSON Status Monitor utility program for your particular printer.
