Help thunderbird attachments

When i open an e-mail with thunderbird at the bottom shows a small bar with a wordpad in it,when i double click it,it opens up in word pad saying that no virusus were foung avg how can i delete this.Just annoying.

Open your AVG control centre by right-clicking on the icon in the system tray.

Click on the Email scanner and click "properties", then click "configure". Make sure there is a tick in the box for "check incoming mail" and "check outgoing mail", but not in the certify mail bit.
