help - still no sound card driver !!!

help i have no sound !!!! from what i can gather i have onboard sound. Extra info for you too, when i go into sound and audio devices, I recieve a message for C-MEDIA AC97 -CODE 10?????

Download and install Everest Home Edition

On the left side click the + next to Motherboard, then motherboard again, 3rd down.

What is the name of your motherboard?

Take the case side off and the name and serial number will be written in large letters on the board see below -

Hi the name on the chip of the mother board says SiS 964 and its also says on the front of the computer intergarted SiSC 900 lan - any good???????

That's the name of the Chipset. Have you followed my instructions to use Everest? If you can get the motherboard name we should be able to find the right driver.

Yes it does help.

Download the sound driver from here

Double-click the folder, then click Extract All on the left hand side.

Follow the prompts and another folder will open. Double-click the Setup file and follow the prompts.

Reboot and you should have sound.
