When trying to send or reply to one of my email accounts (outlook express),I get this message.
'The host 'smtp.beeb, net' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'pop3.beeb.net', Server: 'smtp.beeb, net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D'
I receive ok.
'Requires authentication ........' is ticked
Thanks in advance, Mike

You have a comma in both occurrences of SMTP but I suspect you have transcribed it wrongly.
More likely the Connections Tab in Internet Options is set to ‘Never dial…..’
