For some reason, the username and password on my homehub settings (to set the security level, etc) no longer works. I haven't changed it but I can't now get access to the area to change my wireless security settings. Does anyone have any idea how to reset this (without calling BT Customer Support) ?

The default username and password are both admin in lower case.
If it doesn't work there is a button that resets the router.

BT rolled out a firmware update not so long ago that forced every connected homehub to change the admin password to its own serial number. Try entering admin/<hubserial> as the user/pass.
The serial number is printed on the back of your hub. It looks like this:
xxxxxxxxxxx(xx)
Just use the first 11 digits as the password
If this does not work, you can find instructions to reset your hubs settings here.
