Desktop picture keeps disappearing after logging off
      #382855 - Mon Feb 04 2008 09:12 AM

I can't recall having this problem before, it's just started happening. For some reason I can't seem to set the desktop like I used to by right clicking the desktop > properties > desktop tab and setting it from there. The only tabs I get when I do this now are Themes, Screen Saver and Appearance. I've looked at these and there seems to be no option to set the desktop from any of them. I'm sure there used to be a desktop tab, or am I imagining this? I can go to the picture open it, and set it as my desktop that way but when I log off and log back in again it's gone. Any suggestions? OS is Windows XP. Thanks. Glynn.

There's nothing on that submenu that relates to the desktop background. Thanks anyway.

The Desktop tab is missing from the Display Properties in Windows XP?

This may work too and is easier .... displayapplet.vbs - Enable/Disable the Display Properties applet in Win95/98/Me/XP
