XP Freezing
      #382548 - Sat Feb 02 2008 09:19 AM

Hi all,

My PC is being very annoying! When I start it up, it will randomly freeze, usually after I have logged on. I will just see the mouse on a blue background, no start bar or icons. I have to restart, but usually it takes 5 attempts or more before it decides to load up. I've run Spyware Terminator, AVG, Comodo, and no viruses are turning up. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Jack

What, if anything, have you added/removed/changed recently?

Have a look in Event Viewer (Start > All Programs > Administrative Tools) for any Errors not Warnings that coincide with the freezing. The actual reason for the freeze won’t be there as it, obviously, would not have been logged but there may be a clue immediately prior to the freeze.
