Having just installed a wireless keyboard and mouse, I am now unable to come out of the standby mode. Previously I would just click the mouse or tap a key on the keyboard and would then be up and running.
I came out of standby by pressing the power button quickly but I do not know whether this is correct and it took ages to fire up.
Any help on this matter would be much appreciated.
By definition, standby mode closes all your peripherals down, particularly USB devices. I presume the wireless receiver for your mouse is USB so pressing any key won't send a signal to the PC.

Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.
