When I switch my pc on it's taking over 10 minutes to get to the log on screen, Windows is loading...is all I get! This has been steadily getting worse over the last few weeks, I used to be able to press reset and the log in screen would load, but now it's taking forever. When I eventually do get on-line, the "Flaming thing" freezes and I have to press reset again, and I'm back to square one with Windows is loading! I try to keep a tight ship with my anti virus and firewall etc so I'm baffled as to why this is happening. I ran Glary utilities on Monday for the first time, could this be connected in some way? My Hijack this log is below...

just to double check
Please download ComboFix from either of these two locations
BleepingComputerComboFix geeks to go combofix
* Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts. * When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall.
Post back with the log from ComboFix and a new HJT log please.

Hmm now that was interesting! I ran combofix like you suggested and after much huffing and puffing from comodo I got the log file down, but as I was reading it I got the dreaded blue screen and had to re-set my pc...now I don't seem to be able to get combofix again. I get the little blue box then...nothing! Shall I ask Steve Wright to throw my pc in the skip? He he
Over to you Bricat :0)

try this :-
Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.- Close all other windows before proceeding.
- Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
- When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt -- please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.

try running sfc \scannow to see if any system files are missing.
put your XP disc in the drive.
click on START\RUN and type CMD into the address bar and click OK.
At the DOS PROMPT type SFC /SCANNOW. note the space between SFC and /SCANNOW. hit enter.

Having tried every malware scanner, posted my hijack this log and checked for viruses and followed all past offers of help, my PC is still freezing up. It seems to do it only when connected to the internet, and always when I try to look at video's, ie You Tube etc I'm using a BT Voyager 100 modem, I've had a word with AOL and they are going to send me a wireless router. I'm hoping this is the problem. Does anyone have any other ideas as to what the problem could be?
