E-mail automatically sends in Outlook Express before I get a chance to finish it
      #381450 - Fri Jan 25 2008 08:13 PM

Hi. I have a Sony Viao laptop with a rather small keyboard. Almost every time I try to send an e-mail in Outlook Express, the e-mail will send before I've finished typing it. So I have to send the e-mail in segments, which is a big problem because then the recipient gets about three partial e-mails from me.

This is very frustrating and has been going on for a very long time, so I decided to post this message to see if anyone had any suggestions. I would really appreciate any help or ideas. I can't seem to find an answer to this question anywhere!

Thank you,
Brad Burton

I would guess you are accidentally brushing the touchpad on the laptop whilst typing your email. Do you use the touchpad or have you got an external mouse?

Well, if forty-eight million, two hundred thousand, seven hundred and one people died I'd be Queen.

Not an answer to your question, but why have you included the size of your keyboard?
Do you think this has a bearing on the issue?

A temporary measure maybe to go to Tools > Options > Send > Un-check 'Send messages immediately'.
This should allow you to finish your email and place it in the Outbox for sending when 'you' want to send it.
