Afternoon,
I received a wireless router from Tiscali( had the old sagem modem before) i was at work and my brother in law took it upon his self to wire it in by doing so he has somehow pulled the wires out of the bt box. ( so i have a bt box and a some wires.
This is what i have a Orange , white wire, blue white wire, then a white and orange wire and ( what looks like white and green but i think it should be white and blue) this is one one lead then there is another lead next to it with two wires which i cant remember the colours poss orange and blue, but i think this could be for the socket upstairs.
I have wired up the socket with blue 2, orange 3, white orange, 4 white blue 5. I have stripped the wire before placing in the bt box.
Is the other wire an extension of is it a valid wire? also have i wired this up correctly?
As my dsl light is constantly flashing on the router.
Any help from your self or anyone would else would be greatly appreciated.

last night i had the phone to my ear putting in one wire at a time hoping to get a dial tone.
But had a thought would it work like this or has the phone got to be down to put the wires in the relevant slots?
