Broadband Speeds
      #380767 - Mon Jan 21 2008 12:44 AM

Hi, i was wondering if someone could tell me if these broadband facts are good?

Im using a 3com wireless router and have been told that if i divide my downstream attenuation by 13.81 it gives the distance from the exchange...which would mean that i am 3.54km from it.

These are the stats from my router:

Stream Type: Actual Data Rate
Up Stream: 448 kbps
Down Stream: 2336 kbps

Noise Margin Upstream: 22Db
Noise Margin Downstream: 1Db
Attenuation Upstream: 60Db
Attenuation Downstream: 49Db

Received Cells: 26926
Transmitted Cells: 9159

i was just wondering if these stats are any good? and if theres anything that isn't what could i do to make it better? I moved my router from an extension to the outside line the other day and added another filter to the phone and my speeds went from a touch over 1mb to 3.6mb. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me
