Hi all,
Somewhere I read that if your ISP is down, you can still get online by going through the calculator or Word. I don't remember how. Anyone ever do this?

Your ISP is exactly what it says, an internet service provider. They provide a server at the end of your telephone line that connects you to the internet. If their service stops, everything stops. There isn't any way round that.
