SPEED REDUCTION AFTER REPLACING WIN 2000 WITH XP. HELP PLEASE
      #379852 - Mon Jan 14 2008 05:05 PM

I have an 800mhz laptop with 320 memory.
It worked well with Win 2000 proessional, as does my desktop of 867mhz,
with only 256 memory.

Now, with XP Prof in the laptop, it is very very slow,to the exent that it is not practical to use.

If I add memory, up to a total of 512 to the laptop, will that put it back to the speed of use of Win 2000 Professional?
If not, are there other ways to achieve my objective?

The extra memory will help as XP is good with 512. However take a look at your graphics setup as that might be the culprit.
