Network Connection Help?
      #379785 - Mon Jan 14 2008 01:59 AM

I have a D-Link DIR 615 Router and I set it up during the Christmas break. I have been able to connect to the internet from both the wireless signal from the router and from the ethernet connection it provides. The problem that I am having is I can't connect to any other ethernet connections. I go to a laptop school which has the open use of internet to complete homework and such, but as I plug my ethernet cable in I get the dreaded "page cannot be displayed" when I open Internet Explore. When I go to Network Connections it says LAN connected and firewalled. I need internet to work properly for the situation that I'm in. Please, someone give some suggestions.

Open Internet Explorer. Go to Tools - Internet Options. Click on Connections Tab and then Lan Settings button. Make sure 'Automatically Detect Settings' is not ticked.
