Sometimes when shutting down my computer a warning comes up telling me not to switch off as an update is being installed, and it will switch itself off when completed. How can I check the next day to see what was actually updated ?
If they are Windows software updates, have a look in your Control Panel and D/click on Add/Remove programs. Make sure you have 'Show updates' ticked in the top right corner, then scroll down to 'Windows software updates'. The last one should be the latest one.
To get more information on the update, highlight the one in question, then click 'Click here for support information, then Support information'. You'll need to be on-line to take advantage of this.
Go to windows update site and in the left hand pane click on "review your update history". You'll then be able to identify what update/s been installed by the date in it's entry.
Thank you fusion and fife flyer. The notice I spoke of does not say what the updates are for, they could be microsoft or could be auto updates for other installed software, hence my wanting to see what they were. I will follow up on your advice.
