Hi There, I am thinking about upgrading my PC. I was wondering if anyone knows of a site where you can test your motherboard to see what type of processor will work with the board. I have been able to test to see how much RAM I can upgrade by on the Crucial website, and I have a 250GB hard drive waiting to put in, I was just wondering about limitations on upgrading my processor.
Thanks Liam

Find out the motherboard make and model, then go to the manufacturer's website and look for the manual. It will tell you the maximum processor you can use.

Agree with RichieP on this, if you're not happy opening the box or can't find the board make and model try looking in the BIOS, sometimes it lists it there.
