I bought this system from Amazon for my sons birthday. They catalogued the system as having a Hybrid TV Tuner. At first glance there is no Tuner card in the PCI slots just a NVIDIA Graphics card. On contacting Acer they identified a single coaxial socket on the back panel and told me that it was connected to an integrated tuner on the Motherboard. On trying to connect my TV ariel to this socket it's evident that it's a single RCA socket and the ariel cable obviously does not fit. I then tried configuring the TV Tuner through Vistas Media Centre but it returned a message Hardware not Found. So do I have a TV Tuner installed? If so how do I connect my TV ariel? Is their such a cable that connects with the ariel at one end and with a single RCA plug at the other end to plug into the PC? If so and a TV signal is transmitted into the PC will the installed ??? TV Tuner be identified by Vista. Any useful comments would be gratefully received.
Did you get anywhere with you query? I bought the same system at the same time as you and have the same difficulties. Device Driver does not list a TV Tuner and Windows Media Center denies one is installed. Acer help number are no help, they suggest system restore and then loading drivers for the Lifestyle LR306 TV Tuner card all of which do nothing in my experience. Other users ahve suggested connecting to a Sky or Freeview box etc. using a Scart to RCA cable. Let me know if you do find a way to solve this!
