Help With PHP Script Please

I have downloaded a EasyPoll PHP script that I want to use on my website.

Not being very good at this sort of thing I was wondering if anyone has the time to put it all in EASY english for me!

There are 8 files in 1 folder and it has left me a little confused. Any help will be very much appreciated thank you

Lets try to do these steps first:

1. Upload all files to your server
2. Set permission of your data directory to 777
3. Run setup.php

If you'll pass thought these steps successfully I'll tell you how to finish, if not tell me please what is the problem
