Radeon X1650
      #378415 - Thu Jan 03 2008 09:43 PM

Hi all, need some of your expert advice please.

I have an Intel Pentium 4, CPU 3.40GHz, 2GB RAM with a Radeon X1650 Graphics Card. Windows XP SP2 and all relevant updates.

Recently the fan on my graphics card has been hammering away non-stop. It will generally kick in every 2-3 minutes. I initially assumed it was something to do with dust so I gave the inside of my system a complete clean out but the same problem persists and I have no idea why. Anyone any ideas? Is this something to even worry about?

Also, I am wondering if I need to upgrade or change my graphics card. My system is used for a lot of graphic intensive gaming but the 1650 has done me proud so far. Do I need to bother changing and, if so, can anybody recommend a good alternative?

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions anyone may have.

Andy
