inactive shortcuts

I have a problem adding shortcuts to my desktop when I right clicked on the website of webuser to create a shortcut to my desktop it created the icon but when I clicked on the icon it did not react the same thing happens with other websites.

Try following this path:

C:\Documents and Settings\Your user name\Favorites

Right click the one you want on your Desktop > Copy > Paste onto Desktop

or

If you have Favorites in your Start Menu:

Start > Favorites > Right click the one you want on your Desktop > Copy > Paste onto Desktop
