Hi everyone,I have just gone wireless with a etec adsl2+ 54 mbps which has been setup with a laptop and we have connected the desktop with a belkin wireless g+mimo usb adapter,now are we secure or are we open to anyone,when on the utilaty it shows me other connections with a padlock,but ours show a open padlock with an aerial meter.

so any problems have I

I think you've answered your own question.

You need to enter the router setup by opening a browser and typing something like 192.168.1.1 (check the manual) in the address bar.

Enter the username and password and look for Wireless, then Security.

Use WPA-PSK and eneter a passphrase.

Save the settings and you will be asked for the passphrase when you try to connect to your network.
