Wireless signal dropping periodically
      #376021 - Sat Dec 15 2007 07:49 PM

I am using a 2wire 1800g router with no probs for a year now I had to disconnect from the router yesterday, I had trouble connecting up again but when I do connect the connection drops every couple of minutes which is driving me mad.

When I try to repair the connection I get the message,

"Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed: Disabling the wireless network adapter.

Make sure your wireless network adapter is properly installed"

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Good news. Mind if we ask how you managed to do it? It can help other people with the same problem if you post the method that you used to solve the problem. Totally optional though

My network adaptor was connected all the time. I think the first time I connected wirelessly I used the connection wizard and somehow lost the connection through it, My ISP is BT Broadband so I just used their connection wizard input my original details including the 10 digit code on the bottom of my router into the WEP key line and hey presto it worked, hope that is of help.
