When i put a dvd in my laptop it does not work,what sort of software do i need to get to make it recognise the dvd and can i get for free? I have windows xp and there dive is a dvd one not just cd. thanks for any advice

If you go into My Computer, is there an icon for your DVD drive under 'Devices with Removable storage' ?
