Search engines and old host site
      #376004 - Sat Dec 15 2007 03:48 PM

I have just moved my web site from one web hosting company to another. I have not yet informed my old host that I will be terminating the account next March. Is there any easy/quick way of getting search engines to stop listing pages from my old host, which was www.severnbore.ndirect.co.uk My new site is www.severntales.co.uk (Both have the same page content, just different domain names)

Thanks

reggie

I'd suggest you replace the pages on the old site with pages that redirect the user to the new site. That will help make sure users start using the new site quickly, and means google etc will find the content has gone from the new site and equally that it has appeared on the new site.
