Keep losing connection since changing external adapter
      #374808 - Wed Dec 05 2007 09:07 PM

I have a D-Link DSL-G604T wireless adsl router. This came as a kit with a USB adapter (DWL-G122) which I plug into my laptop. I recently broke the adapter and bought a new one from ebay, still a DWL-G122 but a different version. I installed a new driver for the new adapter. It will connect to the router/internet for a while but then seems to switch off and is unable to detect any wireless connections. I never had any problems with the original usb adapter. Does anyone know why this might be?

it may well do, as the old driver can interfere with the new one.

Remove your wireless device and uninstall anything relating to D-Link from Add or Remove Programs.

Restart your computer and install the new programa nd driver.

Connect your adapter and see if it works.
