Hi all
Hope someone can point me in the right direction,I have had some strange things going on on my comp,I have windows xp and aol connection,the first is on certain sites the writing is bigger than normal in certain areas,especially on ebay,also when I try to access websites I get at the bottom of the screen opening page ip 127.0.0.1 which it stays on for a while then connects to the relevent site I wanted,my connection is fast one min and snail like the next.
Any Ideas or pointers would be greatly appreiciated.
Also I cant do a system restore I cant restore to a point before the problem!

127.0.0.1 is your own computer. There can be several reasons for this.
They are explained quite well here

Thanks for that,Ive run through a few things and its still causing problems,I dont know if I have an infection or not,I was going to do a hijackthis log,but I cant even download the latest version without an error poping up,when I run the old version is comes up with errors??
Even if I go to say file hippo and try to download a programme I get an error message?

Can you download it on a different computer and copy it to a USB memory stick?

Right
I jave managed to get a hijackthis log up,and posted that,Im begining to think its an infection as I have noticed the slowness without being connected to the net,but online with a 2 meg connection its no faster than dial up!
