Just wondering if my dvd drive Samsung dvd-rom SD-616Q has failed. It will not play either cd or dvd i have unistalled drivers and reinstalled and have updated drivers from the official Samsung site.
Discs do not start up on auto run and starting manually asks to insert disc. Per the divice manager its working correctly.
Looks like it's hit the end of the line. A final test would be to remove the drive and see if the symptoms re-occur when you fit it to a different computer.
