I am using web-based email service Yahoo Mail and it has a feature of automatically scanning(using Norton Antivirus) incoming & outgoing email messages(or is it just the attachments) and so Im just wondering if I still need the e-mail scanning feature of my antivirus? I'm using AVG Antivirus Free 7.5 which has e-mail scanning feature fully running and so does it mean my mail(incoming & outgoing) are being scanned twice?

The Yahoo mail scanner sites on the Yahoo servers. AVG sits on your PC. It follows that AVG does a lot more than just scan emails so you need to keep it running. It also follows that you can't switch off the Yahoo scanner.
