Broadband junction boxes before master socket
      #373071 - Wed Nov 21 2007 11:05 PM

Hi,

I have recently set up broadband and i do not think that i am getting a fast enough speed. I was wondering if this is due to there being conection boxes between where the phone line comes into the house and tha main bt master socket.

I have a diagram, but no were to upload it. if you want it i will e-mail it to someone who can share it.

Cheers
Daniel

Hi

Unlikely a few connection boxes will cause a big slow down in your speed, a good length of cheap internal cable could cause this or a large amount of sockets all over the house, however the first thing you need to check is you distance from the exchange, have you done a speed test to see exactly what speed you are getting out of interest.

Cheers
