Hi people
Just a quick question here and that is.. When you boot your laptop, is it already connected wirelessly to the internet? I have a laptop that does and it's great, no problems at all. My parents have a laptop and it doesn't detect any wireless network until you press a WLAN button which sometimes connects depending on it's mood, if it won't connect then my parents try allsorts to repair it and then it seems to naff up my connections on my pc and laptop. I know I have brought this subject up a few times but it seems all the answers I receive point me in the direction that I am a bit weird. Anyway, is there any chance that I could replace anything in my parents laptop for it to automatically detect the network and connect without any hassle? I have tried the wireless zero config etc but no joy. Many thanks

I've just been 'wrestling' with my new laptop to get it to connect to my home comp. After 5 days and several calls to Wanadoo I found that I had to press No. 1 button on the Livebox to get the light flashing then it gives you 10 mins to take the laptop through the sequence of connecting to the internet. I followed the instructions and hey presto it worked and I now just have to switch it on and it connects auto. Hope this helps and I have also answered my own question posted a few days ago. My laptop came within inches of interpreting a frisby! All is well Good luck
