Well he is basically saying that the shortcuts don't work (Ctrl & F for full screen mode and Ctrl & 3 for play movie at full size.
I am using Quick time version 7.3 and these shortcuts don't work for me either, (have looked in the Quicktime help files to check I am pressing the right buttons).
Looking at the menus in Quicktime, a lot of the items are greyed out or have PRO next to them. Could these only be functions with the PRO version.
Can't really help any further than that, as I don't use this software.
