Firefox not opening pages

I have just installed Firefox v2.0.0.9 but I prefer to use Google as my home page. When doing a search some sites wont open, and I don’t know why. One in particular is
www.googleadservices.com. Which Firefox keeps telling me to try again later, and I do but it never opens. Am I missing something or should I be looking for some kind of add on to Firefox? Any help please.
